This area is likely to remain unspoilt as it has been declared a protected area by the Turkish goverment, which means that development is severely restirected and not allowed near the beach and ruins. It is important as one of the sew nesting beaches of the Loggerhead Turtles and it is also historically significant as the site of Roman City port.
