Located near by (4 km) to the north of Fethiye, offers a long beach of coarse sand and is blessed with a coll breeze wich kepp the temperature pleasant even in the heat of summer. Calis is especially noted for its unique sunset and when the sun goes down ona can take a long peaceful stroll along the front and watch the glowing lights of Fethiye across the bay. Calis is great for windsurfing as it has the best wind conditions in the area. The beach front road is closed to traffic to facillitate swimming and watersport activites.
